The Eastern Iowa Sledheads was established in November of 2000. We are a non-profit organization that currently has an average of 80 family memberships yearly. This makes our club one of the largest in the area. We enjoy the fellowship and comradely that comes with snowmobiling. Our club has a 100% ISSA membership as well.
Our trail system is one of the most well marked in the area. Each season our Trail bosses and crews work extra hard to make sure that you and your families have fun and stay safe on our trails. The trail system covers a 5 county region in eastern Iowa including Muscatine, Louisa, Washington, Johnson and Cedar counties. Our maps cover over 200 miles of marked trails within these areas.
Our primary focus continues to be on improving our trails, finding new connector routes and ensuring the overall safety for those who ride them. Bridges are being built but we still have a long way to go to catch up with the cross country systems found in northern Iowa. In the past years one of our goals was connecting our trail system with Cedar, Scott and Johnson counties in Eastern Iowa and it was a success!
